"BUDDY"
ABELARD'S BORN TO DANCE AT BG 3/20/2010 - 12/11/2018 .
His call name is “Buddy.” His registered name is "Abelard’s Born To Dance At BG."
The theme of Deb Blair's litter was "The Dance Litter" so it was necessary to have a reference to "dance" in the registered name.
What I found is a bit obscure. For personal reasons because I wanted to call him Buddy and because I’m old enough to remember Buddy Ebsen as a song and dance man, I found an old Buddy Ebsen movie called “Born to Dance” where Ebsen does a phenomenal dance routine. He starred with Jimmy Stewart and Jane Powell. (I think it beats the alternate which was: Abelard’s Beverly HillBillie at BG – a less obscure reference to Buddy Ebsen - who played Jeb Clampett in that old TV series.) I didn’t even try to work out a Barnaby Jones name. LOL
